Women in India Today are becoming the most vulnerable section as far as their safety and security is concerned. When we turn the pages of a newspaper ,we are pained when we come across many headlines reporting molestation, harassment, ill treatment of women in the four walls of house and violence against women in the remote areas of the world.

The woman is shackled by the diseased mind of the society due to lack of literacy. Gender discrimination and narrow-mindedness has generated the lust for boy child. Dowry system and man dominated society has further added spices to the vulnerable condition of women. It has even become a culture to treat the woman like a doormat. No one can imagine how disguised and monotonous life she is living being treated mercilessly by her own family members. Her life is marked by the indiscrimination developed by the society members.

Last but not the least , arrangements should be made to teach women self- defence techniques in schools ,offices ,hospitals, etc. Only then we can make this world adorable and protective for women.
